Then put my (franken) batting on top of the backing fabric. I started by taping my backing fabric to the floor (unlike this photo, remove threads that run across the center of your backing) You shake the can, spray about a foot from your project, and put the pieces together.

Like other spray glues on the market, it’s easy to use.

That’s horrible, I know, but it’s also true. He painted the top, and I knew if I messed up he could paint another. I decided to test the spray glue on Q man’s quilt. I need a better table to baste (that’s coming soon) so I don’t have to suffer when I baste quilts on the floor….however, after using the QuiKraft I decided that I can stick to the floor for a little bit longer. It is tough on my back, and crawling around the floor is just not fun. One of the reasons I HATE machine quilting is the basting process. It gives me a chance to work on my machine quilting, so it’s not all bad. I know that won’t always happen, but it needs to happen more. Sooooo, since this year is about me finishing projects, I decided that finishing them on my own would be part of the package. My quilting was okay, but I always wanted it to get significantly better. Number 2 is the real doozie here in that my unwillingness to do the work meant my work didn’t improve. I wasn’t willing to put in the time to machine quilt my quilts. She’s a longarm quilter, and her work is incredible! I’ve sent my quilts out for two reasons: I promise it’ll make sense in the end.įor many years I have sent my quilts out to my friend Regina. Here are my thoughts on the QuiKraft glue, and some rambling about machine quilting, so bear with me. It’s fantastic, and I will use it to spray baste for a long, long time. You will want this as sewing room staple. I am telling you, people, that you want a bottle of this stuff! I did purchase the optional boom with 3 boomless nozzles and will use the boom to spray small areas in the pasture or fields. My friend, Charlene, recently introduced me to a new spray glue that is coming to the US later this spring. Right now I am spot spraying the fence rows. So? You are spot spraying, not broadcasting. Most but not all of the 12 v pumps with a pressure switch have a cover on the front which you can remove to switch the wires around to make it run constant Works great for that, but have to flush the roller pump with water between uses when pumping chems. Does double duty pumping thick pre-emerge herbicides and atrazine. $450, got me a 3/4 horse with roller pump that puts out 7 gals minute. Yeah, but the solution for me was not a cheap one. I have never had a 12v pump that didn't have a pressure kick out. That will let it build max pressure without the pump cycling. You just need to add a pressure relief bypass and then set it just under the pumps kick out pressure.
#Springit spray install
Is there a better 12v pump u can install that doesn't do this? Maybe a continuous flow with a bypass? When I spray continuously, the pump surges as it cycles on and off. When pressure gets built up, pump shuts off. It has 60 gallon tank with 12v pump and wand. I bought a skid from Sprayer a Specialties last spring.
